I first saw Voltron when I was in seventh grade which means it was in 1983 or 1984. I was most impressed by the idea of having the battle ships being five mechanical lions. I love animals (except for most bugs) and having the battle ships be lions struck me as being very creative and cool. I also was impressed with the idea of the five lions connecteing together to form one giant robot. But I like the look of the lions better than the look of Voltron. I just find the idea of mechanical animals to be more interesting than a mechanical person. This later led my imagination to create how the lions together can make one giant mechanical animal (check out my story The White Lion for more details). The personalities of the characters also worked excellently with the show. The show was full of potential and truly sparked my imagination. I like the American version of the show by World Events Productions where it doesn't show Sven as having a twin brother, and Pidge has a twin brother, Chip, on Vehicle Voltron. The American version of Voltron is the combination of two originally unrelated shows put together. If you are interested in knowing more about the original Japanese version, it was called Go-Lions. Also you could research more on Vehicle Voltron if you like. So far the main focus of my site is on Lion Voltron. Enjoy my site! I've seen most of the American Voltron cartoon episodes (not Voltron 3-D) and I have been creating stories about it since I first saw the show. Most are still just remembered in my head, but you will find a sample of my stories on this site. Please also read the disclaimer for this site.
