The following is the continuation of a movie of Voltron I made up based on the T.V. cartoon Voltron by World Events Productions. I did not have World Events Productions' permission to do the story and therefore it does not have World Events Productions' endorsement.
"I can't re-attach your real arm, Lotor," she tells him, as he is laying in bed in her laboratory. After his duel with Keith, Lotor is almost as laid up with injuries as Keith is. "If I did, you'd realize its severe loss of use." She pauses, and then lifts up the mechanical arm she has been working on, into his view. "But this... this arm will be even better than what your real arm ever was."
We see Hagar reach forward and begin work on Lotor. The scene ends this way, and then jumps forward to when the arm is fully attached to Lotor.
"It functions just like my real arm did with almost the same sense of touch," comments Lotor as he is reaching around and squeezing his hand and testing the arm out. "With the feeling even a bit better, I think. It even reacts instantly to what I want it to do, just like my real arm did." Lotor pauses for a moment and then says, "The only difference is, this arm is much stronger." Having said that, we see a flair of anger erupt from Lotor as he shouts "And this metallic colored thing is not my arm!" and he takes his mechanical arm and smashes it right through one of Hagar's tables as if it were a house of cards, all while still laying down.
"Deal with it," replies Hagar coldly, and walks away.
She has other things on her mind. She goes to her crystal ball and is elated to see Sven and Romelle boarding a craft on Arus to return to Planet Pollux.
"Oh, this is even better than I planned," Hagar talks to herself. "I learned by intercepting the message that Romelle was returning to her sick brother on Pollux. I was going to have her kidnapped. But now... Now seeing that Sven won't be piloting any of the lions, I don't need Romelle." We hear her cackle wickedly. Then she goes on talking to herself, "Now I can put all my energies into attacking Arus as soon as possible. Being short one lion, their captain of all people, the Voltron force doesn't stand a chance. I'll have this robeast ready to attack Arus by time it's the day after Sven and Romelle are back on Pollux. Pollux..." We hear her cackle evilly again, "too far away to be any help to Planet Arus in time!" (We don't see the robeast she's working on, only see that she is doing things to work on something).
The scene ends, and the next scene we see is later on Planet Arus.
Inside the Castle of Lions, we see lights flashing and hear an intruder alert going off. The scene then jumps to showing Princess Allura with Keith. The princess leaves Keith sleeping. Next the scene jumps to Castle Control where we see Allura, Lance, Hunk and Pidge, all running to Coran, and stopping just short of him. Coran turns from the view screen to face them.
"We're under attack," states Coran.
"No!" gasps the princess. Then she quickly regains her composure. She looks at the boys. "All right team, to the lions just as we discussed. Let's go Voltron force!"
The four each run to their respective hangers (Lance elevator two, Pidge elevator 3, Allura elevator 4, Hunk elevator 5 -- according to the cartoons it doesn't matter which elevator one takes because any one of the jet shuttles below can go to any one of the lions. Examples: Allura has used elevator 4 to go to black lion, Keith has used elevator one to go to green lion and once to blue lion when he "accidently" ended up there with Allura, and Lance has used elevator two to go to blue lion) that take them to their individual jet shuttles that zoom them to their respective lions. (We see all of this in classic sequence, just as it is in the cartoons. Also, just like it is in the cartoons, the pilots drop from the elevator bars from HIGH above and land in the shuttles below as if it is the most natural thing in the universe to do!) The princess flies black lion, Lance flies blue lion, and Pidge flies red lion. Hunk is the only one flying his regular lion, yellow lion. Given the current situation of knowing they're short a lion, they had decided it would probably be best to be short the green lion since it is the smallest. (There is a cartoon episode where Keith and Lance use the head of green lion to pass through the shielding of planet Mora. This suggests green lion is a little smaller than red lion, or Keith and Lance would have used red lion)
The scene of the four members of the Voltron force in their lions ends. The next scene we see is a quick glimpse of the people of Arus heading for the caves for protection. Then the scene jumps to showing a lone figure who was almost at the Castle of Lions when the intruder alert first went off. We see her running toward the castle. Guards posted at the castle entrance quickly usher her in before they close the doors.
"Quickly, how do I get to Castle Control?" asks the woman desperately.
"We'll take you to where you'll be safe," assures one of the guards. Sometimes the castle guards are robots who looked like people, but these guards are real men.
"You don't understand. I've got to get to Castle Control!"
"You can't go there," replies the other guard.
"Ugh!" exclaims the young woman in disgust over their uncooperative behavior. She brakes away from them and takes off down the hallway making aimless turns into other hallways hoping that somehow she'll stumble upon Castle Control. The guards are on the run after her.
The scene focuses on one of the running guards talking into a comband, "Coran, we have a possible intruder in the castle, and we have reason to believe she's looking for Castle Control."
"Thank you," says Coran. "I'll be ready."
The scene then focuses on the woman again. She turns down one hallway and bumps straight into Nanny.
"Gracious girl!" exclaims Nanny. "Who are you?"
"Nanny! I've got to get to Castle Control! The future of Arus may depend on it!"
The young woman seems strangely familiar to Nanny and she has feelings of trust for her.
"Take a left right here. Take a right at the second hallway. Take the first left and you are there."
"Thank you, Nanny!" says the young woman and she takes off running again. Soon she is rushing into the Castle Control room. Coran turns to face her.
"Coran," pants the young woman. "How are the lions doing?"
"You don't belong here," says Coran and then he makes a call to inform the guards. "She's here in Castle Control now. Come detain her at once."
"No, Coran! I've got to stay! If they need Voltron, they'll need me! Where are the elevators to the lions? If they need me, I've got to know how to get to green lion!" She frantically looks about Castle Control, but Coran had already lowered the elevator setup back into the floor after the team had used them.
The young woman stops searching for the elevators and looks to the view screen.
"Coran, our weapons aren't affecting it," informs Allura. "Ahhh!" The robeast grabs black lion and sends back an energy surge that shocks the princess and brakes the comlink between her and Castle Control.
"Princess!" exclaims Coran.
The robeast has two powerful arms and six long powerful tentacles. Black lion is the last lion captured and is being held by both the robeast's arms. Periodically, the robeast is biting down on black lion's head. Two tentacles hold blue lion, two tentacles hold yellow lion, and one tentacle holds Pidge in red lion.
"Coran, they need Voltron!" states the woman. "How do I get to green lion?"
Suddenly the hangers rise up from out of the floor. A groan can be heard from behind Coran by the controls.
"Keith!" exclaims Coran. "What are you doing here? You need to be in bed!"
"I've gottogettogreenlion," Keith labors the words. "Theteamneedsme."
Keith staggers forward toward the elevators. But the woman sees her chance and makes a mad dash for hanger three.
Coran steps in front of Keith and holds him back from the front around his chest just as Keith sees the woman make a break for the elevators.
"Coran, stop her!" exclaims Keith clearly. Just then the guards searching for her come rushing into Castle Control. But it is too late. The woman has already made her jump and is hanging onto elevator three carrying her to the jet shuttle below that will take her to green lion.
Coran glares at the guards furiously as he is holding up Keith. "Well don't just stand there. Get the captain a chair!" Soon they have Keith seated.
The scene then leaves Castle Control, and we see the woman in green lion.
Once in green lion, the woman finds the key. Then she activates the lion and flies off to battle. Her flying skills are a little wobbly, but amazingly good for an unknown pilot.
"Green lion reporting for duty," says the woman over her com link to the other lions once she is on the battle scene.
"Who's that?" asks Hunk.
(We then see a scene of Pidge remembering back to a time long ago in cartoon format of a little girl flying with him inside green lion -- a scene showing she's scared, but Pidge says something and then she's not scared anymore. Then the scene is gone and we see Pidge in live action again) "Tammy?" questions Pidge incredulously.
"Pidge, you remember!" exclaims Tammy. Then getting back to business she says, "Hmmm, just one tentacle. OK, Pidge. You're first."
Tammy dodges a tentacle going for her. Then she goes straight for the red lion and grabs the end of the tentacle by holding it in green lion's jaws and pulls as fast and as hard as she can make green lion go.
"You did it, Tammy!" cheers Pidge. "I'm free!"
"Hurry, we've got to free the others," replies Tammy.
Pidge sees a tentacle going for green lion and he shoots a proton missile at it. The help of the shot gives Tammy the little extra time she needs to get out of the way.
"We're no good if we get captured ourselves," says Pidge. "Yellow lion is right in front of you. Let's free it next."
They fly over to yellow lion and each grab one of two tentacles holding it. At about the same time, they both pull against the tentacles forcing them to unravel from around yellow lion and yellow lion is free.
"Look out, Tammy!" yells Pidge as a tentacle is reaching for green lion.
Hunk also sees it. "Rotor missiles!" he announces.
And the missiles hit the oncoming tentacle going after green lion. The missiles slow it down a little, but it still starts to get a grip on green lion. Tammy yells as she starts to feel the shock of a feedback surge. She immediately jerks green lion into a sideways rollover, which is just enough to pull her out of what little grip the tentacle had begun to have on the lion. Then Tammy regains control of the lion and soon has it pulled out of the roll she had put it into. By that time Hunk and Pidge are using their lions to pull on the tentacles holding blue lion. With that little help, blue lion is soon free. Tammy fires at two tentacles reaching for the yellow and red lion and Hunk and Pidge successfully dodge the danger of the tentacles.
Lance takes command, without taking time to find out what the story is behind who was in green lion.
"All right team," commands Lance. "Regroup. We're going to focus an attack to free black lion. Hunk, you and I are going to go for the arms. Pidge and whoever-it-is in green lion, you're going to keep those tentacles away from Hunk and I while we free black lion." Lance pauses and says, "Ready?"
"Ready!" everyone shouts back.
Yellow lion and blue lion each grab one of the huge arms of the robeast holding black lion in a choke, just as planned. But then Tammy has an idea.
"Pidge," she says, "let's put this robeast into its own choke hold!"
"Whah?" questions Pidge.
"Help me grab a tentacle and follow my lead."
Tammy clamps down on the end of a tentacle with green lion's mouth and starts to pull it towards the robeast's head. Pidge fires some shots to deflect a tentacle reaching to stop green lion. Then he uses red lion to bite down and pull on the same tentacle Tammy had. Using both lions, Tammy and Pidge soon have the tentacle wrapped around the robeast's own neck and are pulling it as tight as they can. The robeast is taken by surprise by this and it loosens its hold on black lion and Allura is finally able to break free.
"All right team," says the princess taking command. "Ready to form Voltron." She doesn't take time to question about Tammy. There is no time for that. At the princess's command to form Voltron, Pidge and Tammy let go the tentacle and join the other lions in the formation for forming Voltron. Once the sequence for forming Voltron is started, the lions are safe from attack by the robeast until Voltron is formed.
"Activate interlocks," commands the princess starting the sequence for forming Voltron when all the lions are flying in formation, "dynatherms connected, infracells up, mega-thrusters are go."
"Let's go Voltron force!" Shouts the team.
"Form feet and legs," continues Allura. "Form arms and body. And I'll form the head."
We see Voltron forming in the classic way as he does in the cartoons, going through the whole sequence including the lions roaring at the end in succession, one lion after another, and then all of them at the same time. The classic music from Voltron is also being used. The previous time in the movie we heard the formation sound effects of season 1 of Voltron. Now with this second appearance of Voltron, we hear the formation sound effects of season 2 of Voltron. The only difference is that we do get to hear each of the lions roar, even though in season 2 of the cartoons there is apparently some sort of glitch that happened in making the cartoon because we only hear two of the lions roar in the cartoons.
Once Voltron is fully formed, the robeast attacks, wrapping a tentacle around green lion (Voltron's left arm) and a tentacle around red lion (Voltron's right arm). The robeast also grabs Voltron around the torso with its two large arms. Allura stays in one place in the sky as she has Voltron begins to spin around in a circle and the robeast flies around right along with it, sprawled out from the force of the spin as it continues to hold onto Voltron.
"Take your partner and spin him round and round," says Allura cheesily.
In aggravation the robeast opens its mouth and roars. Then the princess shoots eyebeams from Voltron's eyes straight into the robeast's mouth.
"It's not polite to dance with your mouth open," Lance quips.
The robeast looses its grip on Voltron and goes flying from the force of the spin Voltron had it in. Then the princess stops Voltron's turning.
"Form blazing sword," commands the princess.
Then they slice the robeast from the top of its head right down its middle. After that, it explodes. (We then see a little scene of Hagar in deep dismay as she has been watching from a location nearby).
The scene ends, and the next scene we is of the five pilots with Coran and Keith in Castle control.
"Keith, what are you doing out of bed?" asks Allura sounding shocked and concerned.
"You had no business flying green lion," interrupts Coran angrily as if the princess hadn't spoken at all.
"Coran, we needed her and she did an excellent job," defends Pidge.
"Who do you think you are?" asks Coran ignoring Pidge and still sounding furious as he directs the question toward Tammy.
"She's Tammy. Coran, she's helped us before," continues Pidge.
"I recognize you now," says Keith weakly.
Coran turns his attention to Keith. His fury leaves him and is replaced with concern for the captain.
Then the scene pans back to Keith and we see him remembering about Tammy from long ago. We see in cartoon format a glimpse of Tammy, dressed in Pidge's uniform, exchanging herself for Arusian people the forces of Doom had captured. Then that scene jumps to a scene of Tammy with her mother and the Voltron force, and Tammy is reminding the Voltron force to keep some promise they had made to her. It's never revealed in the cartoons what that promise is, but given the context that the live action Keith is remembering it in, it suggests it probably has something to do with flying the Voltron lions. Then the cartoon memories stop and we see live action Keith again.
"Keith, you should be in bed," chides Allura gently.
"Allura," continues Keith slowly, "if we've got a new pilot for the Voltron force, I want to know who she is and what her qualifications are. Talking won't harm my arm. Tammy, you were just a little girl when you helped us before. How did you know how to fly the green lion?"
"Well, I don't think I can fly any of the other lions. I wasn't absolutely positive if I'd be able to fly the green lion, but I was confident and almost sure I could although I had never flown the lion before."
"So how'd you know how?" asks Hunk.
"I'd flown inside the green lion with Pidge before and was fascinated by green lion. I had dreamed of flying green lion, as I'm sure many children have. But how many children have actually had the chance to even fly in it? I was awed by the opportunity I was experiencing as my thoughts raced through my mind. Before Pidge had even reinserted the key, I was keenly paying attention to everything he was doing to fly the lion, replaying what he did in my mind even while I was committing to memory everything else I saw him do to fly the lion. Much of the time I found the whole experience of being in green lion to be scary because it was a battle situation. Still I was able to focus on remembering all that I could about what Pidge was doing to fly the lion."
"You couldn't have flown green lion like you did just from a single memory of the experience of being in it once," says Lance.
"No, there's more to it than just that," continues Tammy. "After my experience in green lion, I created a near to scale model of what I remembered the inside of green lion to look like." (We then see Tammy's memories as a live action little girl -- and we see her doing the things she is telling the Voltron force she says she did) "And then I practiced. I remembered the promise you all made to me, to one day give me the chance of becoming a space explorer, if when the day came I still wanted to do that." (The cartoons don't specifically say that's what the Voltron force promised her, but it's logical that is probably what the promise is because in the context in the cartoons, Tammy states she wants to one day be a space explorer) "I wanted to make sure I was ready when that day came. I practiced everything I remembered Pidge doing and imagined what would really be happening with everything I practiced." (We see various stages of the live action girl of Tammy in her memories getting older and continuing to practice in the makeshift model of the green lion cockpit) "So then as you now know, I've had years of practice." (Then the memories we are seeing of Tammy's stop, and then we just see the live action Tammy talking in present time) "Seldom has a day gone by that I haven't practiced. As I practiced things started to make more and more sense. When I flew green lion today, all of my practice fell into place. Although the flying was difficult, it seemed to be coming to me naturally."
"I'd say it came naturally to you," comments Lance. "You pulled some pretty nifty stunts out there. It takes some cool headed thinking to do that. You are a natural!"
"Welcome to the team, Tammy, pilot of the green lion," states Keith.
"You can't mean that, Captain," says Coran incredulously.
"Coran, I do mean it. We need another pilot. Tammy's good and she's trustworthy. She's it. Sorry Lance and Pidge; but Lance, you'll need to continue to fly blue lion and Pidge, now red lion is yours to fly."
"Captain, as soon as you're better, I'll step down from the team and everyone can have their own lion back," assures Tammy.
Keith cringes a little upon hearing the statement and everyone except Keith and Tammy lowers their heads in sadness.
"Tammy, I'll never be better. I won't be flying any of the lions ever again. We need you as a permanent pilot."
Tammy lowers her head, saddened over the thought that Keith will never fly Voltron or any of the lions again. Then she raises her head and looks straight at Keith. "It would be my honor to be part of the Voltron force."
"Thank you, Tammy," says Keith. "I can relax knowing we have Voltron again. Now if you will all excuse me I'll be going back to bed to focus on resting so I can heal."
Keith wavers as he starts to get up from his chair. Lance and the princess rush to be on either side of him and help him as he stands up and starts to walk.
"Keith, you're not supposed to 'focus' on resting. You're just supposed to rest," jeers Lance.
"That will be easier to do now that we can depend on Voltron again," says Keith simply but weakly as Lance and Allura lead him out of the Castle Control room and back to bed. Hunk, Pidge, Coran, and Tammy stay behind in castle control.
The scene ends with Keith leaving Castle Control. The next scene we see is Allura and Lance returning to Castle Control.
"But your training will start today," says Lance to Tammy with a sense of responsibility about him that Keith usually depicts.
Tammy asks Lance, "Are you the new captain?"
"No, I've taken command of the Voltron force," says Allura. Coran cringes at hearing this even though he already knew it is true. He leaves the room because he doesn't want to hear anymore about Allura taking over as captain. Allura continues, "When it comes to making tactical decisions, I'm in command. But when it comes to learning tactical skills the boys will be your best teachers. They were specially trained by the alliance and taught me much of what I know."
"Things have changed a lot without Keith," says Lance to Tammy. "But you worked well with us and we've all continued to work well together. We want to get you more prepared for being a member of the Voltron force as soon as possible."
"I understand, and I'm ready for the challenge."
"You'll need to understand that I'll be a co-leader with the princess during drills, but she is captain of the Voltron force."
"I understand," says Tammy.
"Does the Alliance know about this?" asks Pidge.
"I don't know how they would," replies Lance. "But regardless of their opinion would be, we all know that it's the princess's place to be captain of this team since Keith can't be. I don't know how she's done it, but she's just as an accomplished pilot as any one of us. Is there anyone here that disagrees and wouldn't follow her lead?"
"What makes you think that one of us would disagree with the princess being captain?" asks Hunk.
Lance was a little perplexed with the question and finally says with a touch of sarcasm, "I guess I thought that you and Pidge and even the princess would naturally expect that I would want to take command of the team. Is that so strange?"
Tammy looks confused, and Hunk and Pidge smile. The princess giggles a little and says, "No, Lance. That isn't so strange. I'm sure you'd be every bit as good as a captain as I will. You don't have a problem with it do you?"
"No," answers Lance. "But I thought at least someone would."
"I guess everyone thinks more alike than what you thought they would, Lance," says Tammy. "You said yourself that the princess is just as much an accomplished pilot as any one of you. So then it's natural for her to be in command."
"Yes, that's true," says Lance. "It's just so strange that despite all the change, everything is going so smoothly."
"Yes, that is strange," agrees Hunk.
"Yes, it does seem strange," concurs Allura.
"Yeah," say Pidge and Tammy at the same time.
Then the team pauses for a time in silent thought.
"Well, now that that's taken care of," says the princess breaking the silence, "let's get training. We won't use the lions anymore today since Tammy doesn't have a space uniform yet."
"One thing, Princess," says Pidge.
"And what's that, Pidge?" asks the princess.
"Do we have to call you captain? I know you're captain, but may we continue to call you Princess?"
"Actually, I prefer that you call me Princess although Captain is also fine. You didn't always call Keith Captain anyway so I see no reason why you can't keep calling me Princess that is at least until I'm married of course."
"Then what will we call you?" questions Hunk.
"Hunk, we'll worry about that later," says Lance. "Time's a wastin'."
Then they all leave Castle Control to start a training session.
The scene ends there and the next scene we see is days later, a week after Keith's injury. It's Romelle with Allura on Planet Pollux.
"Oh, cousin, I'm so happy all of you could come!" says Romelle in a room inside the Pollux Castle with Allura. Romelle is in her wedding dress, and Allura is in a sky blue bridesmaid dress.
"Yes," Allura replies back. "Turns out you and Sven are getting married first. Now that your brother is all better, and Dr. Gorma okayed Keith for travel."
"And you and Keith will be married soon too. And this time my brother can come." Romelle pauses and then she gets a concerned look on her face.
"What's wrong, Romelle?"
"I'm sorry, Allura. It's Planet Doom that's on my mind. I'm so concerned Arus will be attacked while you're all gone."
"This is your wedding day, Romelle. Don't concern yourself over something that may never happen. We've got Voltron here, already assembled. If trouble does arise on Arus, castle defenses will be able to defend the planet long enough for Voltron's return. The idea of Doom attacking while we're gone has concerned me too. But I'm not thinking about it. I know we're prepared if it does happen, and it's likely not to happen at all."
The scene then jumps to Sven and Romelle's actual wedding ceremony. As planned, Keith is the best man and Princess Allura is the maid of honor. Prince Bandor, Lance, Hunk, and Pidge are all groomsmen. Three castle servants on Planet Pollux and Tammy are bridesmaids. Pidge is matched up with Tammy.
The scene then jumps to the minister telling Sven and Romelle, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. Sven, you may kiss the princess bride."
The scene ends with Sven and Romelle kissing.
After being husband and wife, Romelle remains a princess. Prince Bandor is heir to the throne so Romelle did not become queen. She had been next in line after her brother Avok to be heir to the throne, but she passed that on to her younger brother. Bandor is not yet king of Pollux. Though in some cultures even children have been kings, on Planet Pollux rules of age and marriage apply to their monarchy as is also the case on their sister planet, Arus.
The next scene we see is Pidge watching from afar as Prince Bandor is talking with Tammy. It makes Pidge feel strangely uncomfortable, full of anxiety, and almost angry with Prince Bandor.
"What's wrong, little buddy?" asks Hunk putting his hand on Pidge's shoulder.
"Whahhh!" exclaims Pidge startled by Hunk's touch. Keith turns, notices Pidge's troubled look, and soon suspects the problem to be that Pidge is attracted to Tammy.
"Oh nothing's wrong," Pidge answers Hunk.
"You're sure jumpy," adds Hunk.
"Nothing's wrong," repeats Pidge starting to sound agitated. Then Hunk doesn't say anymore.
The scene then jumps to later that evening. We see Prince Bandor steal off with Tammy to go for a walk with her outside the castle. Then we see Pidge standing just outside the castle, sulking as he looks off in the direction where he last saw Prince Bandor and Tammy. Then Keith comes outside and approaches Pidge.
"Pidge," says Keith from behind him.
"Whah!" exclaims Pidge startled and he turns and faces Keith. "Oh, hi Keith. What do you want?"
"It's not so much what I want as it is what do you want?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean she doesn't remind you of your kid sister anymore. Does she?"
"You mean Tammy," says Pidge lowering his head.
"Pidge, I wouldn't be bothering you with this, but if you love her, let her know how you feel. You won't forgive yourself if you lose her to Prince Bandor without knowing how she feels about you."
Pidge raises his head and looks at Keith. "Keith, if you're trying to compare my situation to the relationship between you and the princess, it's not the same. Tammy and I hardly know each other and what was going on between you and the princess was so obvious."
"You and Tammy know each other better than you think. You can't tell how obvious it is from inside the relationship."
Pidge turns away. "If that's true, then what's she doing going off with Prince Bandor right now?"
"Just don't let the fact that he's a prince intimidate you. She deserves to be with whom she loves. Don't lose her just because you think she'd be better off with a king as his queen." Then Keith walks away leaving Pidge to ponder on his thoughts as he looked off into the distance.
The scene then jumps to later when Pidge sees Prince Bandor and Tammy coming back. Pidge can only guess at what may have transpired between them. He casually strolls back into the castle hoping that they didn't notice that he had been watching for them. They don't notice.
The scene then jumps to when we see Romelle and Sven (inside at their wedding reception after a wedding dance).
Romelle and Sven clink their glasses to get everyone's attention.
"Thank you all for coming," says Sven.
"Each of you being here is an honor for us," says Romelle.
"Unfortunately, our honored guests, the Voltron force, need to be making their trip back to Arus now," announces Sven.
"We wanted to thank them and all of you before they left," says Romelle.
"Thank you all," they said at the same time.
The scene then jumps to where we see Pidge in the cockpit of red lion, on his way back to Arus with the rest of the Voltron force. Flying alone in red lion, Pidge ponders over the answer to Keith's question. We see a glimpse in Pidge's thoughts of when Keith had told him, "...she doesn't remind you of your kid sister anymore. Does she?" and then the scene jumps ahead to when Keith said, "if you love her, let her know how you feel. You won't forgive yourself if you lose her to Prince Bandor without knowing how she feels about you." Then Pidge's thoughts turn into a cartoon of long ago where we see Pidge thinking about himself in regards to Tammy when he had sniffled and said, "She reminds me of my kid sister back on Planet Terra" (I'm not sure I have those words right!) Then we see him picturing the present time live action Tammy in his mind and hear him say aloud, "No, you don't remind me of my kid sister anymore."
The scene then jumps to two weeks later, a time when Keith and Allura's wedding has finally been reset for. We see a glimpse of a scene on Planet Doom. There we see a fully recovered Lotor, feeling even stronger than what he ever had.
Lotor approaches Hagar and says, "Hagar, I feel stronger than I ever have. Nothing can stop me from spoiling that upcoming wedding on Arus, and this time take care of that poor excuse for a pilot, Keith, once and for all. But I need you to make a robeast for me."
"No, Lotor."
"Look, just find a way to use your magic and zap me there. I'll track him down myself, and we'll be rid of him. Sure, he's no longer needed for piloting the lions. But without him, the rest of the Voltron force will be maimed with grief. Leaving them all open for destruction."
"No, Lotor."
Lotor slams his metallic colored right arm down on one of Hagar's tables, smashing it to smithereens, and demands, "Witch, you will help me stop this wedding! I don't care what it takes!"
"That's the second table of mine that you've destroyed. Refrain from ever doing that again young prince, or you'll be sorry." Then Hagar sighs in frustration and says "Lotor, give it up. Princess Allura is lost to you. But I do have a plan for revenge on Keith."
"Really," Lotor says, immediately intrigued. "What is it?"
"I'll reveal it to you soon, all in good time. You just need to be patient my young prince. Things will fall into place and you will have your revenge on Keith."
The scene then goes to Planet Arus. We see a brief moment of scenes flash by showing close ups of everyone of the castle staff, including Nanny, and of course everyone in the wedding party wearing a communications wristband. It's obvious that it's to guard against any disasters that could happen during Keith and Allura's wedding like what happened before.
The scene then jumps to the wedding ceremony itself. Keith is wearing kingly attire, and the princess is wearing the same white full-length wedding gown with a long train she had worn when the wedding had been postponed. Romelle is the Matron of Honor and Sven is best man.
"Keith," says Lance, just before Keith is going to go stand at the front of the church.
"What Lance," says Keith sounding a little annoyed, giving us a hint that he has a good idea of what Lance is going to say.
'You know I just don't understand how you can still go with Sven as your best man. I mean, that's what you did last time, and look what happened. You really ought to go with me, and everything will go smooooth."
Of course Lance was just giving Keith a hard time.
"Lance, I know you know you're my best friend as well. But thanks Lance, but I'll take my chances with Sven."
"You're really making a mistake Keith. You need to change your mind and pick me instead."
"Lance, I'm sticking with Sven."
The scene then jumps to the wedding party all up at the front altar.
Lance, Hunk, and Pidge are all groomsmen; and Queen Orla, Tammy, and a castle servant are bridesmaids. The bridesmaid dresses, including Romelle's dress, are floor-length pink gowns. Lance is matched with Queen Orla, Hunk with the castle servant, and Pidge with Tammy. Also attending the wedding is a healthy Prince Bandor.
The moment comes for Keith and Allura to exchange rings. As beautiful as the rings are, Keith and Allura hardly seem to notice. They are so caught up in the feelings of love they have for each other. And then they kiss a simple but long and passionate kiss of love. Allura's hands are on Keith's shoulders as he holds her around her waist. During that moment Allura's wedding ring disappears from her left hand and reappears in a bright flash on the ring finger of her right hand and it continues to glow white. There's also a white glow from under Allura's right hand where she is touching Keith's injured left shoulder. As Keith and Allura break their kiss and continue to look lovingly into each other's eyes, the glowing stops and the ring disappears from Allura's right hand and reappears on the ring finger of her left hand, but there is no flash, only the ring's natural sparkle.
Suddenly Keith sweeps Allura off her feet and kisses her again holding her in his arms. The audience gasps. Keith's shoulder is completely healed! Allura's eyes open wide in surprise. Then she closes them again and enjoys the kiss.
Keith carries Allura stepping even closer to the front of the church where he sets her down and they kneel in front of the religious leader. Then Keith and Allura are crowned King and Queen of Arus. The religious leader gently removes Allura's circlet from her forehead (also needing to lift her headdress a little to get the circlet out from under it) before crowning her with a queen's crown. Had she married a prince from another planet, she would have symbolically been also given her father's crown. But, as it was, Keith was crowned with king Alfor's crown. The scene ends with the happily wedded couple leaving the church with Keith carrying Allura down the isle. Then the rest of their company departs for the castle to attend the royal wedding reception.
We see a glimpse of Nanny and Coran removing the crown jewels from Keith and Allura's heads to take back to the castle for safe keeping. The religious leader is also there, and he hands Allura back her circlet. Nanny hands Coran the queen's crown and helps Allura slip the circlet back under the headdress and into place on her forehead. It will continue to be her crown as queen, and like King Alfor, Keith will go without wearing a crown. It is tradition on Arus to do that.
Unnoticed even by Lance or the space mice, we see Witch Hagar's blue cat slink away from watching the proceedings just outside the church through a stained glass window.
We then see a scene on Planet Doom occurring just shortly after the wedding ceremony of Keith and Allura.
There we see Lotor. He's silently standing and staring at a wall. His heart is burning to have revenge against Keith. He knows the wedding has occurred, but a part of him doesn't believe it. He despises the turmoil of emotions going on inside of him, and wants to destroy the soft petty part of him that isn't accepting the truth. Then we see Lotor turn and walk away, and the scene ends that way.
The next scene we see is Lotor entering Witch Hagar's laboratory.
"Hagar!" barks Lotor.
"Oh, whatever is it that you want now, Sire," asks Hagar, peeved as she emerges from the shadows.
"They're married aren't they? You've even seen it, haven't you?"
"Of course they are, and of course I've seen it."
"You saw it all through your crystal ball, didn't you? I know you did! Show it to me witch!"
"Yes, as you wish. Foolish young prince!"
As Lotor views the events of the wedding, his face shows no expression except for a non-changing look of being angry. Suddenly a single tear trails down Lotor's right cheek at the moment he sees Keith and Allura kiss after exchanging rings. The expression on Lotor's face hasn't changed, although with the shedding of a tear Lotor was shedding with it all of his feelings at that moment of feeling hopeless over possessing Allura. For Lotor that awful moment of seeing Keith and Allura kiss seems like a heart tearing eternity. But eternity passes for Lotor when he is a little startled by the flash of Allura's wedding ring and it suddenly appearing on her right hand after disappearing from her left. Both shock and rage well up inside of Lotor as he sees Keith easily lift Allura in his arms and kiss her again. Lotor knows full well the extent and permanence of Keith's injury, and knows that the feat should have been impossible.
"What just happened?" roars Lotor through partly clenched teeth, as he was enraged with jealousy. He glances at his own mechanical arm and clenched the hand in anger. Keith had taken his arm and what little satisfaction Lotor had retained over causing Keith's injury is now gone. Keith is whole again, but Lotor knows he never will be.
"I don't know," answers Hagar.
Lotor turns and faces her. "What do you mean, you don't know? Is it some kind of magic?"
Witch Hagar's mouth drops open for a moment, astounded to see Lotor's moist right cheek. Tears from Lotor are unheard of. Then she answers, "It's magic. It came from the ring. But I don't recognize the ring or where it came from. I don't understand what happened."
"He's completely healed, isn't he?"
"Yes."
"How will I have revenge on him now? And, what else can that ring do?"
"Not to worry, Sire. The ring has little magic. What magic it has is uncontrollable and practically useless."
"And how do you know that?"
"A witch knows. And, rest assured my prince; my plan for your revenge on Keith has not been affected by the captain's miraculous recovery. You will have your revenge."
On top of Lotor's rage, his broken heart expressed by his tear has filled his thoughts with a hopeless feeling of apathy that he needed to be married, "Now that she's taken, I don't care who I marry. Since I don't care, I may as well just get married. What's Allura but just a pretty face anyway? I can have anyone I want, and she can't stop me. None of it matters anyway."
And that is what his feelings are over his loss of Allura. He doesn't care anymore so he feels the urge that he might as well be married. Logically his mind is thinking over who would be most suitable, "Princess Corral of Planet Demos really was quite becoming. And there's a certain charm to someone that doesn't even speak your language." We see Lotor thinking of a cartoon image of Corral, that we see fade into a live action actress, in his thoughts.
"Lotor, I want my revenge for you, too."
Lotor knows that voice. His thoughts quickly turn from Corral to the person who has just spoken, and he thinks to himself, "Ah yes, even better."
"Merla," says Lotor affectionately with surprise as he turns toward where she has been standing since when he began to view Hagar's crystal ball, but until she had spoken he didn't notice her standing there.
"The Voltron force talks of being good and yet they tried to kill you," begins Queen Merla. "If that's what being good is, then I see no difference between good and evil. I'd rather be evil and take what I want. There's no sense in pretending to be good. That's all good is anyway, is pretending and hoping that somehow that will get you what you want."
Lotor is enamored by how perfect a choice Merla seems to be. He can't understand why their marriage didn't work before. (Note: Lotor and Merla were married in the cartoon series of Voltron, but it was broken off).
"Merla, marry me," says Lotor.
Witch Hagar's mouth drops wide open.
"What?" asks Merla, not believing her ears. It is so sudden and out of context with the whole conversation.
"Marry me, Merla. We're perfect for each other."
"L-Lotor," stammers Merla. "Yes, I love you. I know that now. But"
"Will you marry me? This time we'll make it last."
We hear Merla's thoughts, "I've realized strong feelings of love for you ever since I found out you almost died at the hand of Princess Allura. But I clung to the ideals of being good because, I still deeply respected Keith, despite the respect I had lost for Allura. But, after I knew what Keith had tried to do to you, I despised Keith as well. Then I realized a love only for you, Lotor. And it's stronger than any love I've ever felt for a man. I can read your mind, and I know you don't want me like I want you. Though I can see you're trying hard to pretend that you do. Still, I want you."
Then we hear Merla answer Lotor aloud, Yes, Lotor, I'll marry you. And this time we'll make it last."
Lotor walks over to Merla and she feels like melting in his arms as he kisses her. Lotor pretends as if her cold lips are warm.
Witch Hagar smiles, delighted that it seems that Lotor is finally getting on with his life.
The scene ends with Witch Hagar leaving Lotor and Merla there in her laboratory. The next scene we see is Hagar entering King Zarkon's throne room.
"Sire, I have news,"
"Well, what is it Hagar?" asks King Zarkon, in a bit of a bad mood since he almost barks the question at her.
"Come down, and I shall tell you."
Now King Zarkon is truly getting peeved. He runs down the center steps leading down from his throne.
"This better be important, witch."
Hagar leans forward and whispers in Zarkon's ear, who has to stoop over a bit.
"Really?" he says, sounding happy. "Now that is delightful news. It's about time that numbskull son of mine got a clue. Doom and Darkness united again. And this time it better last."
"Oh," we hear Hagar say. "And here's the happy couple now."
Lotor and Merla just then enter the throne room.
"Ahhh, perfect," says Zarkon. "Let's begin the ceremony right here, right now."
So right then and there, Lotor and Merla step forward, and King Zarkon officiates the wedding ceremony, just as he had done the first time. He calls upon the blessings to the evil gods to be upon them. Then Lotor and Merla officially belong to each other. Merla retains her title of queen, but is not Queen of Planet Doom because Lotor isn't King of Planet Doom and will remain "prince" until the death of his father. Queen Merla is technically just Princess of Planet Doom until Lotor is king. Most always she will go by her title as the Queen of Darkness.
(The whole scene above will pretty much go as the first wedding ceremony in the cartoons between Lotor and Merla with King Zarkon officiating)
The scene then jumps to Planet Arus, just shortly after the wedding. Keith and Allura have a chance of some time to be alone together. While they are alone together the reality of the astonishing miracle that has happened to Keith strikes them.
"Allura, what just happened?"
"I don't know," answers Allura knowing exactly what Keith is talking about. "It seemed to have something to do with this ring."
For the first time Allura finally notices the brilliance of the ring on her finger. "It's so beautiful! Where did you get it from?"
"You don't think that the ring had anything to do with it, do you?"
"Keith, you saw as well as I did that the ring had everything to do with it. You saw what it did and what happened. What are you hiding? Where did you get it from?"
"Yes, I saw it all happen, but I didn't think anything of it until now."
"Neither did I. It's strange. But what is this ring? Where did you get it from?"
"I wanted the perfect ring for you, Allura. I came across a strange old man that I had been told had the most beautiful diamond ring ever seen on Arus. He gave me the ring and suddenly he was gone before I had a chance to discuss a way to pay for it."
"You mean he just disappeared?"
"No. I mean, I guess he could have. I wasn't looking at him for a moment, and the next moment when I looked he was gone. And he was a very strange old man. He talked sort of cryptically and kept calling me 'Your Majesty.'"
"Did he kind of look like a lion?"
"Yes, how did you know?"
Allura doesn't answer and is pausing to think. Then Keith looks down at the stunning ring on his own finger.
"Allura, where did you get this ring from?"
"I think it was from the same man you met. The description seems to fit exactly."
"You were in the caves?"
"Yes, and yes I was there by myself as I well imagine that you were, too."
"Well, yes. At least Lance knew where you were, didn't he?"
"Of course. I am mindful of my own safety. What about you?"
"I'm sorry if I've sounded overprotective. But as ruler of Arus your safety is very important."
"Keith, I realize that. Do you realize how important your safety is? Even when you weren't king yet?"
"I see. Now I think I understand your frustrations over what must seem like others' over concern for you. I hadn't thought of my own safety in that same way. But I also let Lance know where I was. Still, I didn't realize how important my safety really was. But you know your safety is more important, Allura. You are Arus's heir to the throne. No one else is."
"My daughter," calls a haunting voice, and then a transparent image of King Alfor's ghost appears.
"Huh?" says Keith, startled at the sight of King Alfor.
Surprised, Allura gasps a little. Then with a touch of awe in her tone, she says, "Father!"
"Allura, Queen of Arus. Keith, King of Arus and now my son," continues King Alfor. "Your union of love with each other delights my heart."
"Oh, Father," says Allura with a touch of sadness as tears well up in her eyes but don't fall, "a part of me was hoping that somehow you'd be there for our wedding."
"Allura, I was," replies King Alfor warmly, and Allura shows an expression of awe, surprised that she didn't somehow feel his presence during the wedding. "The symbols of your union to each other that you each wear represent much more than that."
And the scene ends like that -- leaving us to wonder what else he told them.
The Conclusion
The next scene we see is Witch Hagar with Lotor on Planet Doom
On Planet Doom, Hagar's plans for revenge on Keith for what he has done to Lotor are almost worked out. Her ideas for revenge developed after she had discovered some information about Keith revealing a weak spot in his life. The plan involves using that information to hurt him deeply. Hagar does some last minute checks to be sure her plan is ready to execute. Then she calls for Lotor.
"Lotor."
"What is it that you want, old witch?" sneers Lotor. It is the day after Keith and Allura were married and after Lotor's own marriage to Merla. Yet his thoughts and feelings have intensified over wanting Allura. It doesn't matter to him that she and he are both married to someone else. He is furious that he can't get her off his mind, although not because of any consideration of how his feelings toward Allura affect his wife, Merla.
"Your revenge is at hand, my prince."
"Does it involve disposing of the captain of the Voltron force?"
"If the King of Arus perishes as a result of my plans, it will be amazing indeed."
"King. Humph. He's no king. I should be king. King of Darkness."
"You know you can't be. Queen Merla's planet forbids it. No males are allowed, and the title of 'king' is nonexistent there. As for the pilot, Keith, all attempts we've made to harm or possibly eliminate any member of the Voltron force has always failed. No, the revenge I have planned doesn't involve disposing of the captain, but it's a surefire way to hurt him deeply."
"All right. I'm listening witch. What is it?"
"The captain had made it clear that when he was finished with his mission on Arus, he would return back to Earth." [At this point we see a cartoon flashback within Hagar's thoughts to a blurb of an episode where Allura is to fly the black lion because Keith says it's in preparation for the day when he'd return to Earth, and that scene ends and we then see the last episode of season one of the Voltron force when Keith is nonchalantly talking about returning to earth while laying on a hillside with the rest of the Voltron force. Then Hagar's thoughts quit and we see the live action reality again]. "Obviously this would be something he needed to do, not just wanted to do. Of course with his now permanent tie to Arus, he won't be returning to Earth to stay."
"What are you driving at, Hagar?"
"What I'm saying is that there has to be something about Earth that's very important to him. Something so important that he would have left Arus when his mission was over."
"So? How does that help us? He won't be leaving to go back there to stay now."
"Ahhh, but my prince, with my blue pussy cat, I found out what it is on Earth that's so important to the young pilot." [At this point we see Hagar's thoughts again in a flashback to the live action scene of a blurb when Keith is telling Allura on the castle balcony, "I did all I could to the best of my abilities for the sole purpose of finding my parents again, reclaiming my life, and then returning back to Earth as I promised my sister." Then the scene skips ahead to where we see Kitty slinking away from overhearing the whole scene.] "You see, he has a sister on Earth. She won't leave because she's still waiting for their parents to miraculously return from a space mission during which they disappeared. The captain was going to return because of his sister."
"So what is your plan for revenge?"
"We attack Earth!"
"You're insane! Even I know that can't work, and I can conquer anyone. Earth is too far away for the amount of force we'd need to attack them and win. At that distance it's too well protected. Besides, we've tried it before and failed."
"Silly prince. We wouldn't be attacking Earth in any attempt to actually conquer it. We would need allies to accomplish that. No, the attack on Earth would just be a diversion for the real reason why we'd be there."
"And what's that?"
"To find the captain's sister and destroy her and their parents' home."
"How marvelously evil, Witch Hagar," compliments Lotor with no feelings of remorse over the idea. It sounds like the perfect plan for permanently emotionally wounding the captain of the Voltron force. And it seems a fitting and perfectly just revenge to Lotor to hurt Keith so deeply for taking away the woman of Lotor's heart's desire, Allura. "How tragic," comments Lotor sarcastically. "When do we begin our attack?"
"Now is as good a time as any."
"And when did you plan on sharing this information with me?" asks Merla who has been eavesdropping the whole time just outside the room and is now walking in. "I'm coming with you to Earth."
"You weren't meant to be left out of the plans, Merla," explains Hagar. "But you're not going to Earth. I am. I'll be there myself to be sure my plans are carried out. But there's another piece of the plan to explain before we go. Kitty, go find her."
"Her?" question both Merla and Lotor aloud at the same time.
She walks into the room with Hagar's blue devil cat leading the way.
"Meet, Darah," introduces Witch Hagar.
There stands a female Drule from the other side of the empire. She is of the Drules the Voltron force of the Spaceship Explorer typically face. She has short blue hair, and is wearing a uniform quite typical of the military Drules of her territory along with the typical military cape, with a few unique features. Unlike Lotor or Merla who have yellow eyes and pointy ears, Darah is a full-bred Drule with piercing red eyes and ears shaped like that of a typical Earthling.
Darah speaks directly to Lotor, in a sneering tone, "You're fortunate you and your father are so far away from the rest of the empire or we would have destroyed your royal line and replaced you long ago."
The scene then pans to Witch Hagar and we hear her thoughts, "Maybe bringing her into this wasn't such a good idea..."
After we hear that, the movie screen goes black, leaving us to wonder what happens next. Will Darah be helping Planet Doom, or is there a war between different Drule territories about to ensue. It obviously leaves the door open for a sequel.
Then we see a classic end to Voltron using the classic music, with basically the only difference being live action scenes. We see all the poses and action scenes that were always a part of the ending of the Voltron cartoons -- except that now we are looking at it all as live action scenes (kind of a trick to get the Pidge actor to do the Pidge pose upon top of green lion!). And this ending is concluded with a live action scene of the black lion, and the music like scream sound. When this is all over, if there are more credits to be shown, I imagine it to be filled with "bloopers" that happened during the filming process.
So, the whole general gist of the movie was:
*It happens immediately following the last episode of season two of Voltron.
*It starts off with Allura daydreaming of her past with Keith that works well to familiarize/remind the audience of the past Voltron and the Voltron force, and especially Keith and Allura have together
*Allura's daydream continues and shows
- her abducted by Lotor
- Keith takes out a robeast with black lion alone, fueled by his emotions for Allura
- Allura kills Lotor (or so they think)
- Keith and Allura profess their love for each other and kiss
- Allura grieving over Keith
- scenes with the space mice (I think I ought to add more scenes to the movie with them!)
- Allura kissing Lance on the cheek after talking with him makes her feel better
- Allura daydreaming of Keith
*Then the movie goes into real time and shows Lance talking sense into Keith over Keith and Allura's love for each other
*Keith proposes marriage to Allura and she says yes
*Nanny and Coran are not happy with the marriage news, but then accept that it is best
*Reason is found that it is possible to crown Keith king of Arus
*Allura's aunt, Queen Orla, fully supports the idea of Keith being king
*The people of Arus are not happy with the marriage news
*Arus is attacked and Keith is the first to protect the people
*Voltron is formed and the robeast is destroyed
*The people of Arus fully support Keith becoming their king
*Voltron uses an image of himself to give Keith and Allura the gifts of wedding rings for each other
*Allura learns about Keith's past and his sister on Earth.
*Hagar learns through her cat that Keith's sister is why Earth was so important to Keith that he fully planned to leave Arus to go back Earth (As Keith had discussed in episodes of season 1 of Voltron, and was committed to doing in the last episode of season 1 when they all thought the war with Doom was over. But, then problems with Planet Doom continued to occur and so the Voltron force was given the new assignment as "space patrollers" or something like that. Basically it was to help everyone where help was needed -- especially regarding any trouble Planet Doom stirred up)
*Keith is attacked by Lotor on Keith and Allura's wedding day (a laser sword duel)
*Lotor permanently injures Keith's left shoulder leaving Keith incapable of ever flying any of the lions or Voltron again
*Keith cuts off a part of Lotor's right arm just above the elbow
*Voltron needs Sven as a pilot, but Sven has to leave Arus to go back with Romelle because he senses that if he doesn't, something bad will happen to Romelle
*A robeast attacks Arus, and only black, blue, yellow, and red lions are used to defend the planet
*Tammy who has been in green lion before, finds her way to green lion and flies it to help the Voltron force
*Allura is captain and leads the assembling of Voltron and the robeast is destroyed
*Tammy becomes a new member of the Voltron force by way of Keith approving it
*Sven and Romelle get married
*Prince Bandor loves Tammy
*Pidge is jealous of Prince Bandor
*Keith encourages Pidge to tell Tammy how he feels
*Pidge realizes Tammy doesn't remind him of his kid sister anymore
*Keith and Allura are married
*Keith's shoulder is completely healed by their wedding rings
*The wedding proceedings are all recorded by Witch Hagar via her cat, Coba
*Prince Lotor becomes apathetic in his despair of seeing what all occurred during Keith and Allura's wedding via Hagar's crystal ball
*Queen Merla expresses she is no longer on the Alliance's side after knowing the behavior of Allura trying to kill Lotor, and then Keith trying to kill him
*Prince Lotor proposes marriage to Merla and she says yes
*King Alfor appears to Keith and Allura and starts to explain that their wedding rings represent much more than symbols of their union to each other
*Lotor still isn't over his overwhelming want for Allura
*Witch Hagar reveals her plan for Lotor's revenge on Keith is to kill Keith's sister on Earth
*We are shown that an important piece of Hagar's plan involves the use of Darah. She's a full-bred Drule from the
other side of the Drule Empire
*Darah's words to Lotor are said in an extremely threatening tone that sounds like her true intentions might
be to bump off Lotor and his father from power. And, we hear Hagar questioning herself as to whether using Darah is a good idea.
*The movie ends that way to leave a person to wonder what will really happen next regarding Darah. The only thing that seems definite is that a sequel movie is meant to be done.
