The following is a summary of the cartoon episode of Voltron involving the Omega Comet.
The Omega Comet looked like a comet, but acted like a black hole and had a pulling range of about one million hectors. Long ago, Voltron removed the comet and hid it in a far corner of the Universe where it could do no harm. No one could find it, but Haggar did. It was in sector G29.
Princess Romelle was recaptured by Lotor (sorry, I can't recall what was going on when she was first captured.) Planet Doom made the comet move toward Planet Arus to destoy it. Romelle found her way into the transmitter room and warned the Voltron force.
Voltron got rid of the comet before but only after a highly secret attack plan was discovered. The plan was lost when Voltron was developed. It took ten years to find the attack plan before.
Voltron was stuck on the comet when Romelle told them what she thought was the secret attack plan she overheard from Haggar and Lotor. But, it was fake information Haggar and Lotor hoped she would tell them. Voltron couldn't get off the comet.
Coran contacted the Galaxy Alliance and they sent a star fleet to help Voltron. The fleet was Prince Bandor's who was commander of Star fleet 11. The fleet had to use everything they had on the comet to put it away from Planet Arus, but it would kill the Voltron force. They had to do it though, and the comet was pushed away from Arus.
With Voltron gone, Lotor attacked Planet Arus.
The Omega Comet was heading for the end of the universe. The Voltron force was dead, but Prince Bandor and his fleet still tried to save Voltron. Lotor attacked Bandor's star fleet, but Prince Bandor didn't give up. He was holding Voltron with a grip beam until Lotor slashed the beam and the Omega Comet got away with Voltron on it. Prince Bandor couldn't save it and he lost the fleet except for his ship.
Lotor had sent a robeast to Arus. The people fled to the castle and the robeast tried to destroy it.
Voltron went to the end of the universe where there was an angel-like creature that gave the Voltron force a choice. Because they had a pure heart they could go back to Arus to defend it or go to a world beyond the universe with eternal happiness. They decided to go back to Arus.
The angel-like creature repaired Voltron and a star of hope gave Voltron the power of a thousand suns. The Omega comet dematerialized. The angel-like creature said that where ever Voltron goes, it would be there with him.
Voltron was twice as powerful was ever. He saved Arus, but Lotor got away with Princess Romelle. She was thrown into the Pit of Skulls by Lotor on Planet Doom because she wouldn't be his queen. Before she was thrown into the Pit of Skulls, she heard the voice of the angel-like creature that the Voltron force saw (I don't remember what the voice said.)
After Romelle fell in the pit, Sven found her. He had been roaming the caves for a long time.
Sven is an earthling. He used to be the best navigator in the alliance, and then he joined the Voltron force. Sven thought he was a failure because he thought he had let the Voltron force down when he was hurt by Witch Haggar and had to be sent to a hospital on another planet. There the planet was catured by King Zarkon and so was Sven. On Planet Doom, Sven was too weak to move so they left him without food or water. He escaped to caves.
Sven helped Romel back to the surface of the planet (no one except Romelle has ever escaped from the Pit of Skulls.) Regrettably, Sven called the Castle of Lions with a transmitter Romelle gave him. He was the only one who knew the codes.
Romelle and Sven escaped Planet Doom in one of its ships. Voltron and Prince Bandor came to protect them. Voltron had to fight a thing called an Iron Maiden. Voltron was almost destroyed, but with Sven's navigation Princess Romelle hit the Iron Maiden with part of the ship and broke its hold on Voltron. Then Voltron destroyed the Iron Maiden and Romelle made it back to Planet Pollux. Sven stayed there with her. Romelle had saved Sven from really going mad. Although Sven had decided to stay with Romelle, Keith said that he'd always be a part of the Voltron force.
Later, Romel and Sven left Planet Pollux in the captured spaceship from Planet Doom. Sven had heard about a plan about King Zarkon making an army of robeasts with lazon. He was going to make 500 robeasts from the satellite Neuclon with a lazon infusion. The nuclear power needed for the robeasts, Zarkon would get from the many planets he was master of. The robeasts would be super robeasts.
Sven had to sneak aboard the robeasts' ship headed for the satellite Neuclon. He deguised himself as a robeast and found out where the Neuclon Satellite was. Then he destroyed the robeasts' ship and escaped before the ship exploded from a bomb Sven had planted.
The Voltron force went to the satellite to destroy it before King Zarkon could send anymore robeasts. Before they could destroy the satellite, they had to fight and destroy a robeast. Then they destroyed the satellite. Sven went back to get Romelle and the two guards with her.
Romelle and Sven had promised that someday they'd free the slaves on Planet Doom. Later they did (I don't remember how this was done though.)
